What is Skype?

Skype is a little piece of software that lets you make free calls to anyone else on Skype, anywhere in the world. And even though the calls are free, they are really excellent quality. If you and your friends, family or business contacts are using webcams, you can also make free video calls. You can even call landlines and mobile phones at really cheap per minute rates (and there’s no setup or subscription fee).

You can call up other Commer fans for free anywhere around the world via the Internet. Go to www.skype.com and download the version you need for your computer.
Install the software and then make up a user name. Find out the user name of the person who you want to call. Search for them using the software. If their computer is on and they have Skype running, their name will be added to your contacts list and you will be able to call them. It will sound just like a phone call and they can click on Answer on their computer and away you go. Once you have your contacts in your list, you can see each time you start the programme who has their computer going and Skype running by the green mark alongside theri name.

It would pay to buy a cheap headset with microphone from an electronics store to use with Skype.

You will only pay the same internet / phone costs you do for looking up webpages.

If you want to contact other Commer fans, let me know and I will find out their Skype username.
