The photo above was sent to me by Don Kitchen and shows the engineering teams from Commer / Rootes Diesel Engine Division getting together with their colleagues from the Dodge Kew works, after Chrysler took complete control of Rootes - some time around 1967.

I found another amazing advert from the New York Times of 1912 talking about the number of local companies using Commer trucks - in New York! There is one company you must find out about - really ironic. Check it out here

More Technical Data sheets added on the CB, CC (Thanks Mark!) and the CC Maxiload. The other amazing upload is a 1960 document advertising Commer Quality with some stories from Commer users all around the globe praising the long life, fuel economy etc of their Commers. The 1933 Centaur in the picture lower left was still in use in 1960 having done 300 000 miles over the roughest roads in Stornaway on the Isle of Lewis - some other great reading in this document here
