This is a short video of Mark Erskine’s CDY blasting  past with exhaust unplugged. Turn the speakers up loud!

Fred Bull’s old Mk IV tractor unit. You can read more about it here

It had been sitting for 6 months and had a fuel pump / air leak problem but like all good TS3s, even when a little sick, she still fired into life. I must admit to a tear in my eye and the camera is shaking from my laughter as this was the first time I had heard that great sound of a TS3 in about 20 years that I am aware of.

David Kent’s marvellous Mk III interim, courtesy of Bruce Gunter. Isn’t the sound just tremendous

You can read the story of its restoration here

Don Julians’ immaculate 1973 CE at the Bill Richardson Memorial Classic Commercial Rally. Don bought his CE all the way from Auckland, near the top of New Zealand, across Cook Strait on the ferry (along with another 30 odd classic trucks) and then on to Invercargill at the bottom of the South Island, via our wild West Coast. After the great weekend, it was time to head back home via the East Coast, calling in to many friends on the way. By the time Don returned home, nearly a month after leaving, the Commer had covered just a few clicks short of 4000 kms - what a trip!

He was very kind enough to take me for a short ‘blat’ at the end of the rally - enjoy the sound of that magic TS3 from inside the cab! The TS3 certainly created a lot of interest wherever it went - Enjoy!

BE WARNED, this is a rather large file to down!
