With the introduction of the TS3 two-stroke diesel, the R series became the C series. There were minor changes to cab detail and an interim model with differing bars around the top of the grille made for 18 months in 1957 - 1958 before the Mk IV introduced the single piece windscreen and significantly revised grille.
